Our Mission

TO MAKE SPIRIT-LED DISCIPLES WHO ARE ROOTED IN GOD’S WORD, REFLECTING CHRIST IN EVERY AREA OF THEIR LIVES.

Our mission is grounded in the belief that every follower of Christ can live a victorious life through His Word. We are committed to teaching believers who they are in Christ, leading them into spiritual maturity, and assisting them in becoming firmly rooted and established in biblical truth. Through intentional discipleship, Spirit-filled guidance, and practical application of Scripture, we aim to equip people to grow, serve, and impact the world around them.

Know

For believers to know the Word of God, understand their covenant rights and privileges, and grow as fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
(Acts 17:28, 2 Corinthians 13:4)

Live

We want people to live the Word of God daily by embracing His love, walking in faith, and applying biblical principles in every area of life.
(Hebrews 11:1, Ephesians 4:15-16)

Advance

We advance the Kingdom of God by helping people become rooted and grounded in the Word, equipped to serve, and empowered to disciple others
(Colossians 1:23, Psalm 112).

Our Vision

TO SEE LIVES TRANSFORMED, FAMIILES RESTORED, AND CITIES IMPACTED THROUGH THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD.

Our vision is to raise up believers who are strong in the Word, confident in their identity in Christ, and equipped to live out their God-given purpose. As the Word of God takes root in a person’s life, it brings clarity, conviction, and spiritual maturity, producing real transformation. We desire to see individuals and families strengthened, communities impacted, and the Kingdom of God advanced as people embrace the power, truth, and authority of Scripture.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…”

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God… that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

OUR BELIEFS

WHAT WE BELIEVE,
WHY WE BELIEVE IT,
AND HOW WE LIVE IT

At Word Life Church, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and guide everything we teach, practice, and pursue. These truths shape our faith, our community, and our mission to live empowered by the Word of God. Below is an overview of our foundational beliefs, expressed with the same conviction and clarity found in God’s Word.

We believe that Jesus will return, and that those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body, and those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment.
(1 Corinthians 15:52)

We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God—complete, infallible, unchanging, and authoritative for every believer.
(2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe in practicing Communion just as Jesus instituted it — using unleavened bread to represent His sinless body and unfermented wine to represent His redeeming blood. This ordinance commemorates His death, announces His return, and testifies to the unity of believers in Christ.
(Matthew 26:26–29, Mark 14:22–25, Luke 22:15–20, 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)

Following Christ’s example, we believe in washing one another’s feet as a demonstration of humility, love, and Christian fellowship, practiced alongside or in connection with the Lord’s Supper.
(1 Corinthians 10:15–17; 11:27–28; 2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 Timothy 5:10)

We believe God teaches through His Word that the work of the ministry is supported through the faithful giving of tithes and offerings. Tithing (10%) is both an Old Covenant command and a New Testament blessing.
(Genesis 28:22; Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; Luke 6:38; 1 Corinthians 9:3–14; Proverbs 3:9; Hebrews 7:8)

We believe all members of the Body of Christ are called to holiness—separated from sin and consecrated to the Lord. Believers should abstain from practices and influences that harm the body, soul, or spirit and pursue a lifestyle that reflects purity and devotion to God.
(Leviticus 19:2; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Ephesians 5:26–27; 1 Thessalonians 4:3–4; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:16)

OUR BELIEFS

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At Word Life Church, our beliefs are firmly rooted in Scripture and guide everything we teach and practice. Below are our complete Statements of Faith, presented in full to clearly reflect our doctrine and biblical convictions.

We believe that the Bible in its entire original manuscript is the infallible source of truth and the inspired Word of God.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…2 Timothy 3:16

We believe in one God, who manifests Himself in three distinct expressions: as the Father, as the Son, and as the Holy Spirit. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!" Deuteronomy 6:4

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ.

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

We believe that every human is born with a spirit that is prone to sin as descendants of Adam and Eve.

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned… Romans 5:12

We believe that sin separates us from a relationship with God.

But your iniquities have separated you from your God… Isaiah 59:2

We believe that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures… 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

We believe that God allowed His beloved Son to pay the price for our sins so that we could have an eternal relationship with Him.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

Salvation

We believe that repentance (a desire to turn away from sin) and belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God leads to salvation.

…Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel [f]of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15

We believe that a person is saved by grace through faith when they believe the gospel.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe that it is the will of God that everyone who is saved be baptized in water just as Jesus was.

"Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”  -  Matthew 3:13-14

We believe that baptism by full immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ is a physical display of the decision a person has made to die to self, make Jesus their Lord and Savior, and be born again in the spirit.

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. - Romans 6:4

"Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38

We believe that it is the will of God that everyone who is saved be baptized with the Holy Spirit just as Jesus was.

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.  Matthew 3:16

We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit enables a person who has been saved to fulfill the amazing plan that God has for them on earth.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you… Acts 1:8

… and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31

… I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. Acts 2:18

… the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Acts 10:45-46

We believe that Jesus paid the price for our healing when He was flogged by the Romans.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.  Isaiah 53:5

We believe that the power of the Holy Spirit works through Christians to enact the will of God which is for all to be healed.

And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.”  So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. Acts 3:4-7

We believe that Christians are called to share the gospel with those who do not know God.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who [b]preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:14-15

We believe that Christians are called to help people fulfill the amazing plan that God has for them.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… Matthew 28:19

We believe that Christians are called to be ambassadors for God by living a life that reflects the character of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

…but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15

We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman.

And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?  Matthew 19:4-5
